Seven domains. One commercial system.

Commercial capability isn't a list of functions. It is a connected system: understanding the market, choosing where to compete, designing how you operate, creating and converting demand, realizing value, and evolving the whole.

Why domains matter

Domains are not departments. A single domain will usually cut across marketing, sales, delivery, finance and leadership.

This is what makes constraints hard to see from inside a function: the visible symptom and the actual constraint frequently sit in different domains.

Performance is the outcome. Capability is the cause.

What capability is holding back your growth?

Your business problem may appear to be revenue, sales, margin, retention or growth. The root constraint may be somewhere else. Find out what capability your organization needs to build next.
